Swan City Music Therapy, LLC, (SCMT) is a music therapy private practice in Lakeland. SCMT's highly trained therapists provide group sessions using live music, instrument playing, movement, and singing.

We are excited to welcome Family and Me Music Therapy classes by Swan City Music Therapy. Ticket price includes both the 25-minute music therapy class and admission into the Little Lake play area. Classes will be held every Tuesday and are capped at 12 children. This class focuses on early childhood development and caregiver bonding for children ages 0-5 by using instruments and other manipulatives. The activities in the group focus on developmental milestones, including motor, social/emotional, cognitive and language skills. Caregivers have the opportunity to learn activities they can use at home as well, including transitional changes.

Music Therapy is the clinical & evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. Music therapy interventions can address a variety of healthcare & educational goals: Promote Wellness, Manage Stress, Alleviate Pain, Express Feelings, Enhance Memory, Improve Communication, Promote Physical Rehabilitation.​ You can find more information about Music Therapy on the American Music Therapy Association website.

Tickets only need to be purchased per child. Tickets are not required for adults.

Each ticket covers the class and admission into our play space for the adult and child.
